E Safety

The use of technology in schools has grown immeasurably in recent years and its benefits in education cannot be denied.  Schools use technology in a whole host of different ways to assist in teaching the National Curriculum. Laptops, iPads and Chromebooks have become commonplace as Teaching and Learning tools and help provide children with rich and invaluable sources of information.

As with all useful tools there are always risks and, as useful as the Internet is, its open source and freedom of information comes with many challenges for schools to help keep children safe! Thankfully there are counter measures to unsafe content which we, as a school, utilise wherever possible to provide a safe and secure environment for our children. Unfortunately, however well we implement safeguarding techniques, the world on-line is a complex place which is impossible to control with technology alone.
