Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club at St Barnabas starts at 7:45am and provides a great start for children prior to the school day. Children are offered a breakfast selection of Buttered Toast with Strawberry Jam or Cadbury Chocolate Spread, Cereals or Fruit and a drink of Squash or Water (Menu Here). When the weather is cold during the winter months, we offer Hot Chocolate too. As with all situations where food is provided by the school, we ask that parents, whose children have specific or particular dietary requirements due to medical conditions, advise the school office prior to your child attending.
Children have access to both indoor and outdoor play and can use this time to enjoy the freedom of playing with their friends before school starts. Children are supervised in a safe environment, with our dedicated team on standby in case of tumbles or squabbles and provide care and council in whatever situation might arise.
The school charges a flat fee of £2.50 per child (From May 2023) regardless of the drop off time. There is no need to book your child in to breakfast club, you just turn up, pay the fee and off they go! Children are escorted down to their classes at 8:30am when they will be starting their normal school day.

After School Club
After school Care at St Barnabas runs from 3:15pm until 5:30pm. If you are at work and need the additional support to look after your child during these times, the school provides a rich and varied activity session where trained staff members do their utmost to entertain and provide a safe environment for children. They can either let off steam after the school day or chill out and relax in comfortable and familiar surroundings.
We also understand that all this expended energy needs to be re-fuelled so we provide a light tea at around 4:15 when we serve things like Jacket Potatoes, wraps or Beans on Toast. Of course, if a child has a specific dietary requirement due to a medical condition we would do our utmost to accommodate this but in any case, you should contact the school office to discuss this prior to your child attending.
After school care is charged at £5.00 for the period between 3:15 and 4:30pm. If you need us to keep your child after 4:30 and up to 5:30, we charge an additional £5.00. We do ask Parents to be prompt when picking their children up if your child is at school until 5:30pm. Our staff need to leave site at 5:30 so that the school can be locked by the Site Manager at 5:45pm.
