Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE)

Our PSHE curriculum at St Barnabas encourages the children to learn and discuss areas that involve our personal, social, health and emotional well-being and the well-being of others in and around our school community. We aim to teach the children how to deal with: changes and new beginnings; making choices and resolving conflicts; feelings and emotions; well-being and discrimination.

Here at St Barnabas we aim to develop and promote a caring and nurturing attitude within all our pupils and help one another to reflect upon making the right choices in life.

The PSHE curriculum covers many different aspects such as:

  • Health Education / Drug Education / Safety Education
  • Sex Education
  • Anti-Bullying
  • Thrive
  • Healthy Living
